Supporting Singapore’s vulnerable communities impacted by COVID-19

Research@Work

Recognising the importance of research on the needs of the vulnerable in a crisis, Research@Work invested $120,000 in a research programme focusing on households living in poverty and homeless people. This was in partnership with researchers from the Social Inclusion Project of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

The first study investigated the consequences of the crisis for low-wage families, while the second study examined how COVID-19 has impacted homelessness in Singapore. These findings will be published in a report and will include recommendations for future responses to similar health crises.
